Johnston Ridge
2009 view of the south side of Johnston ridge, which took the full force of the blast, with the visitor's center on the left. Not only were all the trees blown over, but most of the soils was scoured away. Thick blast deposits accumulated in Coldwater Creek valley behind this ridge.
